چکیده

A cooling system with impinging jets is used extensively in diverse engineering applications, such as solar panels, electronic equipments, battery thermal management, textiles and drying applications. Over the years many methods have been offered to increase effectiveness of design by different techniques. In one available methods, nano-jets are achieve a higher local average heat transfer coefficient. this study, convective double rotating cylinders embedded porous medium analyzed using hybrid nano-jets. finite element formulation thermo-fluid considered, while impacts Reynolds number, rotational speed cylinders, permeability distance between on performance numerically assessed. Hybrid pure fluid performances jet compared. It observed that improves when cylinder, number increased. The behavior varying for first second cylinder. Higher achieved nanofluid nanoparticle loading used. An optimization algorithm finding optimum speeds obtaining an improved performance, results show compared parametric study. outcomes present work useful configurations encountered cooling, energy extraction waste recovery.

Single-phase hybrid micro-channel/micro-jet impingement cooling

A new hybrid cooling scheme is proposed for high-flux thermal management of electronic and power devices. This scheme combines the cooling benefits of micro-channel flow and micro-jet impingement with those of indirect refrigeration cooling. Experiments were performed to assess single-phase cooling performance using HFE 7100 as working fluid. Excellent predictions were achieved using the standa...

Correlation of critical heat flux in hybrid jet impingement/micro-channel cooling scheme

Experiments were performed to investigate the two-phase cooling characteristics of a new hybrid cooling scheme combining the cooling attributes of slot jets and micro-channel flow. A test module was constructed in which dielectric PF-5052 liquid was introduced through five 0.48 mm wide and 12.7 mm long slot jets, each leading to a 1.59 mm wide and 1.02 mm deep channel. Increases in flow rate an...

Characterization of Laminar Jet Impingement Cooling in Portable Computer Applications

A thermal characterization study of laminar air jet impingement cooling of electronic components within a geometry representative of the CPU compartment of a typical portable computer is reported. A finite control volume technique was used to solve for the velocity and temperature fields. Convection, conduction and radiation effects were included in the simulations. The range of jet Reynolds nu...

Thermosolutal Convection of Micropolar Rotating Fluids Saturating a Porous Medium

Double-diffusive convection in a micropolar fluid layer heated and soluted from below in the presence of uniform rotation saturating a porous medium is theoretically investigated. An exact solution is obtained for a flat fluid layer contained between two free boundaries. To study the onset of convection, a linear stability analysis theory and normal mode analysis method have been used. For the ...

Effects of jet pattern on single-phase cooling performance of hybrid micro-channel/micro-circular-jet-impingement thermal management scheme

This study explores the single-phase cooling performance of a hybrid cooling module in which a series of micro-jets deposit coolant into each channel of a micro-channel heat sink. This creates symmetrical flow in each micro-channel, and the coolant is expelled through both ends of the micro-channel. Three micro-jet patterns are examined, decreasing-jet-size (relative to center of channel), equa...
